Download This Week’s Playlist
By Chad W
Last Saturday was the first day of spring and so far its been nothing but rain and like two days of sunshine here in New Jersey…geez..hope you’re enjoying the weather wherever you’re at! Ritas gave away free Italian ice’s (we don’t call em water ice in Jersey) over the weekend. Overall, the change is welcome after the Antarctic-like winter we just plowed through…around my area flowers are blooming and dresses are getting shorter…wink wink. For me its all about a positive mental attitude so I hopped in my car, cleaned her out and went cruising to take in some sun. But you and I both know you can’t cruise without some good tunes so below is a suggested playlist you can rock out to for the first week of spring. Of course, feel free to add your spring ride out joints too! Right now I’m rocking out to Black Eyed Peas’s “Meet Me Halfway.” Listen!
Fashion Gurus Team Up to Help Haiti
The piece to the left is “Helping Haiti” by John Overmyer. The piece was done using gouache on paper. Below is a video featuring “Fashion for Haiti Fundraiser” in response to the devastating earthquake last month. The video features Vera Wang, Kenneth Cole, and Tommy Hilfiger to name a few. Proceeds from the sale of the Fashion for Haiti T-shirt will benefit the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (which has come under scrutiny for its lack of accountability) and features a black and lime green logo on the front with the tag-line “Hope Help Heal Haiti”.
Reliving New Year’s Day with Saint Valentine
This Sunday (Valentine’s Day) marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year, which according to traditional astrology will mark the beginning of 12 months of contemplation, sensitivity, and prosperity. Those words sound great to me considering all the drama within the industry that has been bubbling behind the scenes in my life lately LOL.

Celebrated British fashion icon and designer to the stars, Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home on February 11, 2010. For those who are unfamiliar with the designer here is a video highlighting the genius of the late designer’s incredible legacy of work.
The Music Industry Has Turned Into WWE

When I was younger I used to watch WWE (when it was WWF) and despite the fact I knew it wasn’t real I watched it faithfully every Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday. After years of watching I began to notice how characters recreated their image and teams grew and disbanded. Eventually, background characters would become the big deal and the “bad guys” became “good guys” and vice versa…who wrote this stuff???? After a while it became predictable and I moved on to better things.
